Success Power Point: Protect Your Dream
Pamela Vaull Starr stated, "Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal." Everyone of us is born with the ability to dream, to envision, to anticipate, to imagine everything that is possible but not yet achieved, what can be done but not yet done and yet these possibilities lies within the human soul. You had a dream to be everything you were born to be, your dream for your family and the dream of the kind of life you want to live.
Your dream is susceptible to danger from different areas, from the society, from family members, from your environment and even sometimes from yourself. Your dream to live a life of meaning can be aborted if not protected from such enemies as Self-limiting beliefs, wrong associations, negative mental attitude and lack of vision just to name a few can stifle your dreams.
Your dream is everything you can become but have not yet become, how far you can go but have not yet attained and what you can but have not yet accomplished. Consequently, protecting your dream from these dream killers cannot be overemphasized enough. You owe it to yourself, your loved ones and your generation to protect and preserve that dream that burns within your heart. You were born to fulfil a specific dream and that dream must not die.
How to protect your dream
1. Feed your dream with positive materials
2. Stay away from the naysayer
3. Belong to a mastermind group
4. Write your dream down
5. Put an action plan in place
6. Keep on dreaming
7. Take action progressively toward the fulfilment of your dream.
