Unfulfilled Dream

Archbishop of Maline-Brussels Leon Joseph Cardinal Suenens stated, “Happy are those who dream and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.”

Man is designed with the innate capacity to dream and envision. From the very moment and process of man’s development he has always dreamt of becoming, having and doing.

We all have hopes and dreams. We have all gone through times in our lives when we come up with ideas of things that we would like to accomplish in life, the places we would like to be in the years ahead and the contribution we like to make to our generation. Now, this is a natural, inherent human tendency, to come up with an ideal that we would like to fulfil in our future.

Yet these dreams and aspirations have met challenging odds and insurmountable circumstances that left most of our dreams unfulfilled.

Although our dreams faced insurmountable challenges we must come to the knowledge and a mindset that our unfulfilled dreams lies in the realm of possibility if we will keep on pursuing those dreams with passion and determination acquiring the skills and resources that will enable us bring them to fruition.

What are your dreams? …….

Have you unfulfilled dreams today? …….

A dream to start a business of your own, travel the nations of the earth, climb mountain kilimangaro, retire early or find a great life partner and so forth. What is stopping you for their realization? You can pick up your dream again and make it happen because no matter how difficult the fulfilment of your dreams and visions may have been, it yet lies in the realm of possibility. GO FOR IT!!!

Success Power Point: Passion to Succeed

“The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.” Earl Nightingale.

Passion to succeed is one of the driving forces that motivate people to succeed in any enterprise. Without passion it’s almost impossible to accomplish any long lasting meaningful result because it is one of the common denominator for achieving extraordinary success.

What is passion?

Passion is the obsessive desire backed by the knowledge of your definite purpose to see to the successful accomplishment of that purpose at any cost.

Passion is what makes some businesses strive while others are stagnated.

Passion for your expectation is what creates the momentum that drives your resolve.

Passion is what makes some people quickly climb the corporate ladder, online marketing ventures, while others stay stagnant and become unhappy.

Passion however, does not stand-alone, it is the understanding of your definite purpose that creates the hunger and desire (passion), which helps to stimulate and maintain tenacity to succeed in that endeavor. Therefore, where and when purpose is identified there comes a passion and determination to succeed.

The importance of the passion to succeed in any enterprise engaged in is invaluable in your overall success. Passion does not come overnight, the first thing to do is discover your purpose and once that happens then go out with passion and determination to achieve it. The next important thing to do is to surround yourself with those individuals that are passionate about their goals and aspirations. This is critical because the passion to succeed is contagious.

The Miracle Of Personal Development By Jim Rohn

One day Mr. Shoaff said, "Jim, if you want to be wealthy and happy, learn this lesson well: Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job."

Since that time I've been working on my own personal development. And I must admit that this has been the most challenging assignment of all. This business of personal development lasts a lifetime.

You see, what you become is far more important than what you get. The important question to ask on the job is not, "What am I getting?" Instead, you should ask, "What am I becoming?" Getting and becoming are like Siamese twins: What you become directly influences what you get. Think of it this way: Most of what you have today you have attracted by becoming the person you are today.

I've also found that income rarely exceeds personal development. Sometimes income takes a lucky jump, but unless you learn to handle the responsibilities that come with it, it will usually shrink back to the amount you can handle.

If someone hands you a million dollars, you'd better hurry up and become a millionaire. A very rich man once said, "If you took all the money in the world and divided it equally among everybody, it would soon be back in the same pockets it was before."

It is hard to keep that which has not been obtained through personal development. So here's the great axiom of life:

--TO HAVE MORE THAN YOU'VE GOT, BECOME MORE THAN YOU ARE--

This is where you should focus most of your attention. Otherwise, you just might have to contend with the axiom of not changing, which is:

--UNLESS YOU CHANGE HOW YOU ARE, YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE WHAT YOU'VE GOT--

Pillars of Success

I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” HENRY DAVID THOREAU

“Success leaves clues”, “Success is a journey, not a destination.” “You attract success by the person you become” and “Success is the result of action directed toward a desired goal”. We have all come across these phrases one time or the other and to a very large extent all of these notions resonate with us on a personal or professional level. With that said, there are fundamental ingredients that are required to creating and achieving extraordinary success in any enterprise. Jim Rohn refers to these ingredients as “Pillars of Success.” The successful have built these important ingredients into their plan for achieving extraordinary results as well as contributing to their overall success. Here are some of the Pillars of Success that can form the basis on your journey towards your ultimate success in any chosen field.

Personal Development
Goal-setting Health – Spiritual, Physical, Emotional
Relationships
Time management
Networking
Communication
Leadership
Vision
Effective thinking
Action oriented
Attitude
Association and
Belief.

These pillars are not necessarily itemized in the order of importance because they are all part of the ingredients for achieving success in any field.

Success Power Points: The Ability to Communicate a Key to Success

“To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.”
Anthony Robbins

What is communication: This is the process through which people send information to others and receive information from them. This simply implies that communication is all about conveying understandable messages to others as well as receiving feedback from others. It is imperative to understand that communication is not a one-way process but a sending and receiving of information. Have you heard the phrase communication breakdown? What this simply means is that the thoughts and ideas conveyed were not understood and as a result inappropriate feedback was sent by the listener. This of course will inevitably create roadblocks that will have a negative influence on your goals both personally and professionally.

Communication and your ultimate success are inextricably connected. Therefore, developing and honing your communication skills is a basic ingredient for your personal and professional success. This is invaluable irrespective of the size of your business whether a large corporation, a small company, a home-based business, or even family relationship effective communication skills are essential for success. Without proper communication people will not know exactly what is expected of them. For instance, waiters taking orders from their customers and passing it on to the chef, or coaches telling their teams how to play to win or parents leaving instructions for their children. The vital process to successfully attempt these tasks is communication.

You have to communicate everything you possibly can to all that are involved in the process of achieving your objectives. Being able to translate and express your thoughts and images into words that can be understood by your listener is crucial in achieving long lasting success. Communication is a success power point that you cannot afford to overlook as you spend your waking hours relentlessly in the pursuit of your personal and professional success.

Part 2 of The 10 Commandments of Self Improvement

Here is the second part of the 10 Commandment of Self improvement that I received from Jonathan Wells of Advanced Life Skills. Please enjoy.

#6: Be Willing to Pay the Price

Vince Lombardi: "The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.

Orison Swett Marden: Success is the child of drudgery and perseverance. It cannot be coaxed or bribed; pay the price and it is yours.

#7: Exercise Persistence

Calvin Coolidge: "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; un-rewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Orison Swett Marden: "There is genius in persistence. It conquers all opposers. It gives confidence. It annihilates obstacles. Everybody believes in a determined man. People know that when he undertakes a thing, the battle is half won, for his rule is to accomplish whatever he sets out to do."

#8: Believe in Yourself

Denis Waitley: "If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't. Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad."

Anthony Robbins: "If you develop the absolute sense of certainty that powerful beliefs provide, then you can get yourself to accomplish virtually anything."

Maxwell Maltz: Realizing that our actions, feelings and behaviour are the result of our own images and beliefs gives us the level that psychology has always needed for changing personality.

David J. Schwartz: "The size of your success is determined by the size of your belief. Think little goals and expect little achievements. Think big goals and win big success. Remember this, too! Big ideas and big plans are often easier--certainly no more difficult - than small ideas and small plans."

# 9: Learn From Your Mistakes

Winston Churchill: All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from their mistakes.

Oprah Winfrey: There are no failures, only lessons to be learned.

John Sculley: I have found that I always learn more from my mistakes than from my successes. If you aren't making some mistakes, you aren't taking enough chances.

# 10: Create A Clear Picture of Your Future and Visualize It.

Earl Nightingale: Picture yourself in your minds eye as having already achieved this goal. See yourself doing the things you'll be doing when you've reached your goal.

Stephen Covey: Create a clear, mutual understanding of what needs to be accomplished, focusing on what, not how; results not methods. Spend time. Be patient. Visualize the desired result.

Robert L Schwartz: "The entrepreneur is essentially a visualizer and an actualizer. He can visualize something, and when visualizes it he sees exactly how to make it happen."

These Ten Commandments of Success are designed to enable you to springboard yourself to success.

To your abundant success,
Jonathan Wells

The 10 Commandments of Self Improvement

I got this e-mail from Jonathan Wells of Advanced Life Skills earlier on today entitled “The 10 Commandments of Self Improvement”. The contents were so empowering that I wanted to share it with all my readers. It is imperative to understand that there is no pursuit more venerable than the pursuit of self-improvement. Everything is capable of being improved, even if only incrementally. The concept of continuous improvement can literally be applied to every aspect of your personal and professional life. Consistent and constant pursuit of improvement in all areas of your life is indispensable in the attainment of your true potential and destiny. I will split this post into two because of its length. Enjoy the first five of the 10 commandments of self improvement.

#1: Take Responsibility for Your Life

Dr. Phil: "Life Law: - You Create Your Own Experience. Acknowledge and Accept Responsibility for your life"

Stephen Covey: "Taking initiative does not mean being pushy, obnoxious, or aggressive. It does mean recognizing our responsibility to make things happen."

Les Brown: "Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else."

Denis Waitley: "There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them."

#2: Take Action

Dr. Phil McGraw: "Life Rewards Action. Make Careful Decisions"

Tony Robbins: "Take Massive Action"

Dale Carnegie: The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.

Jack Canfield "Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it."

#3: Manifest desire.

Napoleon Hill: Desire is the starting point of all achievement.

Muhammad Ali: "Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision."

Mario Andretti: "Desire is the key to motivation, but it's the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek."

Earl Nightingale: "The key that unlocks energy is 'Desire.' It's also the key to a long and interesting life. If we expect to create any drive, any real force within ourselves, we have to get excited."

#4: Set Goals.

Tony Robbins: Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.

Aristotle: First, have a definite, clear practical ideal; a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends; wisdom, money, materials, and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end.

Maxwell Maltz: People who say that life is not worthwhile are really saying that they themselves have no personal goals, which are worthwhile. Get yourself a goal worth working for. Better still, get yourself a project. Always have something ahead of you to ''look forward to'' - to work for and hope for.

Brian Tracy: "Every single life only becomes great when the individual sets upon a goal or goals which they really believe in, which they can really commit themselves to, which they can put their whole heart and soul into."

Zig Ziglar "A goal properly set is halfway reached."

#5: Design a Plan

Unknown: If You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail.

Napoleon Hill: When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.

Mark Victor Hansen: The majority of people meet with failure because they lack the persistence to create new plans to take the place of failed plans.

Success Power Points: Power of Consistency

Anthony Robbins remarked, “In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”

Consistency Defined: Consistency is defined as “The ability to maintain a particular standard or repeat a particular task with minimal variation.” Encarta World English Dictionary

Consistency is a success power point that must be cultivated in order to be productive and proactive in the face of insurmountable challenges. As we all know that to succeed is the aspiration of everyone either in personal or professional life. Consistency is one of the keys to an extraordinary success and long-term fulfillment in any enterprise. A set goal or objective inconsistently pursued will not produce the maximum result.

Consistency is the ability to stay the course on the task at hand day in and day out repeating the same procedure until the objective is attained. For instance, you have set a goal to read two books related to your area of interest within a month, to be successful at that you must be consistent with the action plan you have put in place to achieve that objective.

I came across a formula for reading on the average two books every month, which was to read at least ten pages every day. Now, this sounds and looks simple but its effectiveness is not in the simplicity but in the power of consistency. To be action oriented is of utmost importance and much more the discipline of being consistent with the action plan will ultimately produce an extraordinary success.
