Success Power Point 3: Power of Vision
The Hebrew word for Vision is Châzôwn, it means to have a mental sight, a dream, a revelation or divine communication. The above text gives us a clear understanding of what vision is. To a lot of people vision is restricted to the spiritual, out-of-body experience or an appearance or sight presented to or perceived by someone asleep.
According to Solomon in the above text, destruction is unavoidable to those who lack vision. The New King James Version of the Bible declares that where there is no revelation the people “cast of restraint”, in order words, they live carelessly without a vision, while the New living translation states that without a vision there will be absence of divine guidance, without which the people run wild.
A vision therefore is a clear mental image, a dream, a divine guidance or a revelation of what God has created you for and it is based on the accurate understanding of the purpose and the grace of God. People need to know where they are going in order to keep focus and courage in life, for where there is no vision the people have nothing to live for.
Vision gives and determines direction and it reveals the purpose for existence. It is therefore, imperative to have vision for your family, for your enterprise, for your ministry, for your business and every aspect of your life if success is to be gained.
